My goal as a retailer is to help collectors out there get new products at reasonable prices. Too many scalpers have taken over the TCG business, and so it is my goal to offer prices at or below MSRP. There are some cases however (especially in regards to older sets) where I need to sell at market price (meaning what the current cost trends are). Please review the following information for more details.
New Products / Preorders
In general, all new products, or preorders will be listed at or below MSRP. I want very much to provide a safe space for collectors like myself to have access to buy collectibles at reasonable prices. That being said, I reserve the right to post some products at higher prices if I am receiving them at higher prices.
An example of this: I have some distributors who charge a slightly higher price than MSRP for really hard to find items like Champion's Path Elite Trainer Boxes. I will sometimes purchase at higher prices in order to still provide the option to get these items to my customers (because it's still usually lower than scalper prices). So if you see a few of these, that's usually the reason.
I don't make much on each item, usually less than 20% of the actual cost, so please understand, if I'm upping the price, it's usually because I had to pay higher, not because I'm trying to make an extra profit.
Old Sets
Older sets (in this case over a year old) I will probably be posting at market price or just below. This is because they are harder to find, and I usually have to do some finagling to get a hold of them. In general I will try to make it so older sets are still at or under MSRP, but in some cases (such as XY Evolutions which as now jumped to like $975/Booster Box) that's just not possible due to distributor prices.
Price Changes
If you preordered an item at a certain price, I will not change that price. I may however, once release date happens, any new product sold may go up in price to "non-preorder" prices, which will still generally be well below MSRP.
If you special order an item with me, meaning you pay for something I don't have in stock (this is usually something that's hard to find, but I have a distributor that has them readily available), and I quote you at a specific price, I will do my best to honor this.
However, as the Pokemon old set prices are so volatile at the moment, if my distributor changes the price the day after you order, I may have to charge you higher, I already make so little that I can't be losing money to give you these special orders. I will however NOT do so without your consent, and if you decide you no longer want the item, will absolutely give you a 100% refund.
